Introduction to Sellvis:
We provide a platform where students can connect with others from their own university to buy and sell anything, like textbooks, dorm furniture, services and more. We focus on providing a cheaper alternative for students to get the proper supplies and help they need, all with the chance to earn a couple of extra bucks.
How it works:
Finding your school hub is easy on Sellvis’ user-friendly platform. On the homepage, type in your school name, choose your option: buy or sell, and click search. If you picked “buy,” you will be led to your school’s hub page. If you choose “sell,” you will be redirected to the “Post Ads” page, where you will be able to create an ad post on your item or service.
Sell: You will be able to pick your school once you get to the “Choose School” dropdown available on the page. Once you have chosen a photo of your item or service, you can click “submit” at the bottom, and you are one step closer to getting some extra cash.
Buy: Here you will find postings from other students, and will be able to interact and message the seller if you are interested in their product. Messaging is easy on Sellvis. Under the ad post that you have chosen, you will find a “Send Message” option, where you request your interest to the seller, and they will have your contact info so they can communicate with you.
The purchasing transaction is completely decided between both parties. You may agree to a time and place to meet on campus, and payment options as well. Once you have sold your item, you can remove your listing from Sellvis. If you are offering a service, you may keep your advertisement on the schools hub page.
If you are selling an item and someone is interested in it, you will get an email from that person regarding their interest in the item.
